So much for last game at the National Stadium, managed to catch Singapore vs Thailand on wed. The football itself was so-so but the atmosphere was electric, not to mention the chance to learn new malay swear word.

I even managed to eat the triangular curry puff (mostly potato and unidentifiable brown gravy) but there were so many illegal hawkers selling them that I'm not sure which was the stall that my friend had referred to. I guess it is the experience rather than the taste of the puff that counts.

Anyhow, by time I got around to posting this, Singapore has won the second leg (against Thailand but playing in Bangkok) so we take the Asean trophy! The trophy is kinda funny, because Singapore and Thailand are the only two teams to have won it, so the names inscribed are alternating. The match was a heart-in-mouth affair for the 90min, only because the Singapore team relies as much on luck as well as skill, ie they are not very good. They do have moments of brilliance, then they do something stupid.
