My photo albums from the trip are on facebook (but you can click on these links if you are not a member) with captions.

Gu lang yu
rest of xiamen and guangzhe

China was interesting. The most surprising thing is that, by the end of the trip, I could pass for local (with my poor mandarin) expect for the fact that
- I had this Indian dude with me. He became quite the celebrity, girls were queuing up to take pictures with him.
- I was wearing a singlet when everyone was in two or three layers. Well, it was only 20-25 deg and the sun was shining. Now I know how canadians must feel.

Am back in Singapore for less than 25 hours, having arrived at 515am local time in the morning, and at 710am, I have already checked my email twice. The airport has free surfing stations, and I figured it would take a while for customs. I think I may have a problem with technology.
Since it is 1030am Melbourne time, I am fully awake but no one else is. And since
I am off to China tomorrow am, figured it is pointless to adjust my body clock twice so am going to attempt to stay on Melbourne time, although the party tonight will be challenging. Wish me luck.

Drinking diary
Tues - had half a bottle of champers (Cup day, 's traditional)
Wed - exam in morning (hence only half a bottle), thought exam went badly so had 3 beers over lunch. Later after dinner found I passed, so celebrated with remaining champagne.
Thurs (today) - drinks with classmates.
Fri - girls only pyjama cocktail party. I will be arriving late so am presuming I will be forced to catch up.
Sat - beers at the pub with the aikido crowd
Sun - drinks on the plane? At least I won't be driving to the airport.

I hate having to leave Melbourne just when the weather is warming up and when juicy mangoes, peaches, cherries and plums come into season.
