before I post more cambodia pictures, here's a brief run-down on what I did today from 6am. Five of us took part in a car treasure hunt, organised by the gahmen on total defense. Yes, our team had a malaysian (who actually read up on the quiz), a leftist, a guy who has been aboard for the last ten years and johann, who actually qualifies as a local celebrity, one of the treasure hunt items, and semi-ignorant me.

example q and a: who built the sri mariamman temple?
my guess: some guy named pillay? Only because I hazily recall people called pillay building many important things and after a bad joke about pillays of society, it turns out I was half right. Narayan Pillay in fact.

Unfortunately, that question didn't come out and we didn't win (even after scoring 6 goals in 2 minutes for one of the tasks, borrowing old currency from my dad, getting friends to send us pictures of things we had to produce, like SQ tickets). I've figured out the secret - having two teams!!! The winners were a double team, and it makes sense - double the brain power and sharing of info.

And if this rally has taught me anything else, it's that you can rely on friends and family not to blink when you ask them weird questions. Also other qualities like being kiasu, strategic queuing and the internet.

It has been extremely stressful, somewhat fun and now I am very tired.
